This is the resulting work of the study team of the Sisters of St. Joseph, who were commissioned by the Federation of the Sisters of St. Joseph, under the direction of Father. Marius Nepper. The research focused on translating and grouping the ideas of Father Jean-Pierre Medaille together for the use of the Congregation.
This "clear copy", requested by the United States Federation of the Sisters of St. Joseph, was intended for a typist to later prepare a second and revised translation for the publisher. Many handwritten notations and corrections throughout.
This second, revised and yet unedited translation, begun by the Research Team in St. Paul, July, 1979, was continued at Ronkonkoma, L.I., New York , during
the year. It concluded the formal commission of the Team by the U. S.Federation. As it appears here, it is, of necessity, not only undated but incomplete since it remains without its Introduction , Footnotes, the Fifth Part, and the Directory.
